\nSo are the risks. There\u2019s social pressure to do what we promised, and
\nlittle friction in the way. It\u2019s work, but not challenging.<\/p>\n
\nand repercussions are unknown, and in many settings, the social pressure
\n to accept the status quo is high.<\/p>\n
\n effortful (turn left or right, say yes or no) but the apparent risk and
\n emotional labor is real. Hard decisions are hard because of the story
\nwe tell ourselves about repercussions and responsibility.<\/p>\n
